This report explores the experiences of young Disabled people who are doing or have completed apprenticeships in England, drawing on members of the Disabled Apprentice Network (DAN) and wider stakeholder roundtables. It finds that while apprenticeships can be transformative for Disabled young people, significant barriers remain — including poor careers advice, inaccessible information, inadequate reasonable adjustments, and employer reluctance. The report makes practical recommendations for government, employers, training providers, and schools to improve access, support, and retention of Disabled apprentices.
